After many years of hard work, the new translation of the Piapoco New Testament is complete. It had become obvious that a clearer Bible translation in the Piapoco people’s language was necessary. Piapoco believers who were trained to translate joined Wayne and Patsy Gibson on the translation project and have done excellent work.
Now, the new translation of the Piapoco New Testament has been completed, and in October 2019, there were 2000 Bibles delivered by truck, motorcycle, plane or river launch to the areas where the Piapocos live.
Roberto, one of the Piapoco translators said, “I am really pleased with how it turned out. We thank God greatly, regarding His Word, because He allowed us and you all to work with it, so that we might produce God’s Word in our language.”
