An American television broadcaster, NBC, aired a segment this morning regarding historical sexual abuse in NTM dorms overseas in the 1980s and 1990s. Ethnos360 has posted a response on their website: https://ethnos360.org/mission-news/nbc-story-followup
Below is a statement from Ethnos Canada regarding child abuse and prevention:
Child abuse in any context is wrong, be it physical, sexual or emotional. Ethnos Canada is deeply concerned for, and committed to, the safety and protection of children. Each current member of our organization has received training regarding appropriate behaviour between adults and children, identifying and avoiding situations where child abuse could possibly occur, creating safe, protective environments for children, and recognizing the signs that suggest abuse might have occurred. We also have extensive policies and protocols in place for reporting and responding to allegations of abuse in compliance with the law and in cooperation with the appropriate legal authorities.
