“I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.” Psalm 145-:5-7
What comes to your mind as you consider the story of God’s awe-inspiring deeds? Maybe your thoughts immediately go back to the beginning of the story and the way God simply and powerfully spoke creation into existence. Maybe you find yourself dwelling on the miraculous way the Lord led the Israelites out from the bondage of slavery in Egypt. Maybe your thoughts go to the tenderness of Christ’s interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well. The pages of Scripture are filled with the majestic, glorious splendor of our God.
No doubt, the pinnacle of the greatest story of all time is when Jesus entered human history. He lived the perfect, sinless life and offered Himself as a sacrifice to pay the sin-debt for all of humanity. The Father accepted His sacrifice as evidenced in Jesus’ resurrection. The resurrected Lord met His disciples on a mountain in Galilee where He commanded them to take the gospel to the nations (Matthew 28:16-20). The story didn’t end after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. It has been over two thousand years since Jesus first gave the Great Commission to his disciples and the story continues today. We find ourselves in it with the same commission, to expand the reach of the gospel. As the body of believers walk together in obedience, we have the privilege of putting God on centre stage and sharing His story.

Have you ever considered how God will use you in the story He is writing? Maybe you will faithfully pray for missionaries serving among unreached people groups. Maybe you will give generously to missionaries and ministries taking place around the globe. Maybe you will GO take the gospel to people who have yet to hear!
We know how God’s great story ends! The Apostle John gives us a spoiler in Revelation 7:9, “every nation, tribe, people, and language” will be present before the Lord.
